Bachelor of Social Science in Psychology
Nicholas is a dedicated piano teacher who believes that a good music education centres on developing a love for music. He aims to inspire every student to undertake a lifelong journey of music making and appreciation.
Nicholas started piano lessons when he was eight, and has since attained an Associate’s Diploma in piano performance, and a distinction in grade 8 music theory, both from ABRSM. He is currently pursuing a Licentiate Diploma in piano performance from the similar board, an act partially motivated by the desire to offer more to his students. He began piano teaching in 2008, and has since taught students from ages four to forty.
Although Nicholas graduated from the National University of Singapore with a second-upper class honours degree in psychology, a passion for music, the piano, and teaching drove him to pursue a career in music education. Nevertheless, he hopes that his knowledge in psychology will add yet another dimension to his teaching, as he strives to bring the best out of his students
